HORNE HOPES FOR CHANGE OF LUCK |
Hull FC’s utility player Graeme Horne is hoping for a
change of luck when he returns from his latest injury in around six to
seven weeks time.
The 23-year-old, who tore his pectoral muscle earlier in the season,
has just undergone an operation on a snapped ligament in his thumb, and
he said: “I just hope when I come back that’s it with injuries for this
season.”
With his contract expiring at the end of the season,
Horne admits: “I need a good run and to produce some good performances
in the rest of the season.
“With my contract up it is important I don’t just play
but play well and impress and you can’t do any of those things sat in
the stand.”
At one point, Horne thought he might be out for three months, “That
would have been a disaster, so six weeks is much better,” he added.
“Had I been out for three months that would have been a huge chunk
of the season gone but the present prognosis leaves plenty of the
season left.
“It leaves enough time to get fit and match fit again because you
always have to add a couple of weeks on to an injury to get back fully
into shape.”
