BOOK SALES OF 1,000 EXPECTED WITHIN A WEEK FOR GENE |

Stanley Gene's autobiography 'daydream believer' is proving
to be very popular with people from all walks of life. The book which
was released last Friday, at the Royal Hotel, has already sold over 700
copies.
The testimonial committee are confident they can break through the
1000 barrier before next Friday. Stuart Wilkin, the author, was not
surprised at the speed with which the book was selling.
He said: "I am very pleased with the sales the autobiography has
achieved in such a short space of time. I am proud of the book and
thoroughly enjoyed putting Stan's memories into words.
He went on to say: "Stan's popularity is immeasurable and this is why I am not really surprised how many have been sold."
Stan is due to sign copies of the publication at the Hull KR club shop,
Holderness Road, on Saturday 5th July at 11 a.m. and then at Browns
Bookshop at 1 p.m.
