MORGANS MATCH REVIEW V HARLEQUINS |
|
Rovers’ new recruit Michael Dobson produced a solid
performance to help KR come from behind to claim victory over engage
Super League side Harlequins RL yesterday.
..it was a team effort today, i was very pleased that we reacted in a
positive way to last weeks' result..Head Coach Justin Morgan
The 21-year-old showed some good touches on his debut and opened his
account with two tries as Rovers fought back from a half-time deficit.
“I thought we were very good in the second half when we had the
elements against us. We showed some grit and determination which was
good. Morgan said.
“I was disappointed we gave away some silly penalties in the first half
when we had the wind advantage and I thought at times we looked a bit
shaky defensively on the fringes,” he said.
Morgan thought two-try Dobson had an impressive debut and has high hopes for the Aussie’s partnership with Paul Cooke.
Dobson remarked: “It was good to get out there and play, I only arrived
on Thursday afternoon so I’m sure after some full team training
sessions we’ll only get better. The crowd was great and so loud, it’s
nice to be made to feel so welcome and I was certainly glad to score on
my debut.”
