Battered and bruised Hull FC got their engage Super League season
back on track with a crucial win over Castleford Tigers at the Jungle.
In danger of going bottom of the league for the first time since 1999,
Hull dug deep and laid the foundations of their win in the first half
where they opened up an 18-2 lead
Tries by Motu Tony, Scott Wheeldon and an 80 metre Craig Hall
interception gave coach Peter Sharp’s men just the confidence booster
they needed.
Despite the absence of eight squad players, Hull kept their cool after
the interval and Jamie Thackray’s try and a brilliant try save by
Gareth Raynor brought the points back to the KC with Hall rounding
things off in the final minute with his second touch down of the game.
